JCPenney Barbie T-shirt

This garish item on the agenda was a gift from my dear Uncle Harold (I'm not worried as he's across the pond in America and not on any of my social networking sites so I'm safe).

We went on a trip to store JCPenney (the American equivalent of Debenhams) where he treated me to a mini shopping spree. He must have mistaken my age -being 19 at the time- for something 10 years younger as he attempted to be of assistance in picking out this delightful number for me.

To add insult to injury the tee even welcomed a few sniggers from my then 9 year-old sister.

A gesture of kindness that went amiss as I still havwen't worn it but hadn't the heart to tell him it wasn't my style. At all.

For some reason Barbie printed items became somewhat all-the-rage back in England with Miss Selfridge stocking a line of Barbie themed tees and vests. Most featuring vintage prints and images of the iconic toy sold out at £18 a piece. Can't help but give it to my uncle for being ahead of the style stakes!

Would you ever consider rocking one of these? Are they worth the money or just a novelty? Thoughts please...
